'Papa George, a mean axeman who has built up a strong reputation in recent years.' THE TIMES SATURDAY 21ST DECEMBER, 2002

Papa George is a long served pro and knows his biz and the art of mastering the audience - simply by being GOOD! Diane (Sister Feelgood) BLUES MATTERS

"Live he is a one man juke joint with a large bourbon soaked voice, playing driving, yet laid back foot stompin' boogie-woogie blues. ENJOY!" The Musician, Leicester.

Live radio performances/interviews:
Include: BBC Radio 2, Jazz Fm (UK), Radio Atlanta (USA), Radio Trnava (SK) and Radio Mafia (FIN). Festivals include: Pordenone and Cison di Valmarino "Soul & Strings" (IT); Dobrofest (SK); Hell (NOR); Jarvenpaa (FIN) Chelsea Blues, Gloucester B&H, Banbury and Padbury (ENG) Guiness and Monaghan (IRE)

Papa George is one of Britain's leading live blues artists. He has been entertaining audiences across the UK, Scandinavia, Europe, USA and Colombia since the mid-seventies. He is not only an accomplished singer and guitarist, leading his own band, but he is also in great demand for his National Steel and Electro-Resophonic Solo performances.

The blues of Papa George appears to be without boundaries and driven more through personal feelings and moods of the moment. His compositions have an air of authenticity to make one believe that the feelin' of the early bluesmen down South still lives on in the 21st Century. The quality of his voice adds power and conviction.

Nite With You" (Papa George Band - live) is a raunchy, lively, electric CD, which reveals Papa's ability to drive and rock as a Band and then bring it right down to a mere whisper. "Being Free ain't no crime" (Solo acoustic) has a more rootsy approach and is a fine example of how one man and one guitar can communicate so much in so many different ways. "Runaway Boogie", a track from this CD was issued on the "Blueprint (magazine) 2000" compilation CD. National Resophonic Guitars issued a further track, "Broken Mirror", on 'Artists in Resonance' in 2003.

"Flying Finn Guitars" are developing their first reso-electric guitar for Papa George, who is currently road-testing two great prototypes. "Resound" have commissioned a specially engraved "Amistar" silver-plated, electric-resonator guitar for Papa.

With a new album under way and the combination of his experiences of electric and acoustic blues, you can expect quality songs with a Papa George Feelin' firmly rooted in the traditional blues foundations.
