Wicked Grin were inspired to form by
John Hammond's
'Wicked Grin'
album on which he covers
Tom Waits
songs.
All are big fans of Waits so seveal of his songs are featured but the set
list is widening up to encompass a wider range of blues and roots music.
"After naming the band after one of his albums and covering his songs we
thought we ought to invite John Hammond himself to the Blues Festival!"
says John Barker who not only plays guitar in the band but organises the
Festival too.
