Molly Brown - BWBF 2004

Paddy Kirkman - guitar maestro

After great success in 'Little Chuck Little', Dave Thorpe upped and left for warmer climes and can be found busking the day away on the streets of Melbourne, Australia. He left behind Miss Kelly Elliott and the highly talented guitar player Paddy Kirkman.

Paddy, as anyone who has seen and heard this guy play, is a phenomenal lead and rhythm guitar player and his singing ain't bad either. He is versatile, flamboyant and a pleasure to listen to, you will be mesmerised by the skill and speed of his fingers.

Paddy and Kelly decided to continue to perform together after Dave left but with a new set of material easing away from the mayhem which Dave created, and opting for a balance of great songs played even better, with a couple of the old 'Little Chuck' ones thrown in for good measure. And so Molly Brown was born.

Mark Steads on the 88's

In order to keep their act to a nice uneven three, they have enlisted the talents of Mark Steads on keyboards. Mark is so talented that it doesn't matter who he is playing with, he has an enviable talent and always gives a memorable performance.

Kelvin Leitch percussionist, singer and the joker in the pack

Kelvin Leitch is in there somewhere...
In 2004 Molly Brown have abandoned that "nice uneven three" and included Kelvin Leitch on percussion to the line-up.

So, aside from creating a six piece blues / swing / jazz band (the Kelly Elliott Band), recording and playing a lot of live gigs, Kelly decided she had to continue to work with Paddy enabling her to carry on playing the Double Bass and to explore a new world of raunchy blues, soul and jazz thus pushing her abilities to the limit.

Although very different from 'Little Chuck Little', "Molly Brown" deliver a rich, vibrant performance every time. Four musicians of such quality......great things can happen.
