The Shedmen have been around for an awfully long time. They first came together
as a 5-piece in 92, and graced the pubs and clubs of the Isle of Man until
their split in late 94, plating their quirky nostalgic tributes to late 1970’s
punk and new wave bands. In their time they have murdered classics from The
Clash, The Jam, The Buzzcocks, The Sex Pistols and The Undertones
They re-formed in 2003 as a 4-piece, (original line-up minus Paul Johnson) and
gigged regularly until long time bass player,
Mick Prater
emigrated to New Zealand in late 2004.
Unperturbed, the original 3, (
Barry Williams
on vocals,
Stewie Mills
on guitar
and
Sean Plowman
on drums) drafted in

on bass, and have re-invented
themselves as a quirky, nostalgic, tribute 1970’s punk

band that also cover more
modern punk material, such as Franz Ferdinand, Blink 182, Green Day and Busted.
The Shedmen say that they are delighted to be part of Bushey's Big Wheel Blues
Festival, and are honoured to host the Indie tent at the Laxey Football Club
venue on Glen Road
