Wheatbread Jomhnson rhythm section 2004: Brendan Priestly & Barry O'Reilly

Wheatbread Johnson and his international touring band play his own brand of
Chicago Blues, a mix of back woods
twang and urban rumble wrapped up with wisdom passed on from the windy city's
Blues masters. Wheatbread's Blues is for good times and high spirits, not
moaning about life's injustice. He has spread this message across Europe and
North
America playing to crowds of faithful Blues fans and wide eyed converts.
The sound of Wheatbread's sand and satin voice leaves no doubt that he has
lived every word of his songs. Wheatbread plays Blues relevant to the modern
world. The love of a good woman, standing up to life's cruelties, and taking
time to understand your neighbour are his favorite themes. But, it is
Wheatbread's guitar that steals the show every night. He uses the entire guitar
to tell his story with big band brass riffs, funky bass-lines and singing single
note stings. His 'sold his soul' fretwork and 'Tower of Babel' tone palette
leave the most jaded Blues fan screaming for more.
Take some time to find out why the Blues world thinks Wheatbread Johnson is the
heir to the Blues throne
by checking out the Big Wheel Blues Festival 2004 and you will sing his praises
as well.
