Manx Radio's
Roy McMillan presented two hours of the 2004
Festival live from the Main Stage at the Riverside Music Room.
In addition, three or four hours of material were recorded for broadcast for
a one-off special which was broadcast on the weekend of 21st may 2004. These
highlights were also available for a week afterwards via the internet on the
Manx Radio Audio Vault
.
Interviews and live recordings of various bands on all
stages featured in these programmes, which were, as I say, also available over
the
Internet - it's official, we're "global"!
Live broadcasting is quite a complex business and there were a number of
sound engineering issues to be ironed out. However Roy's
confidence that come the Festival he would be doing his inimitable stuff from
the
Festival site proved to be absolutely on the money. It was a great weekend and
you can read all about it by clicking on the links throughout the site or click
here
to get started.
