Although 2005 is the first of the Isle of Man Blues Festival for The Barry
Nelson band they have been around for years in various incarnations and
guises. This current line- consists of Barry on guitar and vocals, Val Nelson on
bass and vocals and John Cletor on drums and vocals.
The band originally played with John back in 1996-1997 as Barry Nelson and the
Touch. This was when they moved to the UK to tour and live for 5 years. Since
then they have been
actively gigging as the Creamy Heads and will continue with this name after
the Blues Fest but with this new lineup. Previously it was Baz, Val and Davey
Knowles from Back Door Slam, who has played with them during the last year.
They also have an active project in the UK called "JECERIS". Jeceris are a 5
piece originals and rock outfit and
are all session players. They will be coming to the Island to play the TT
Festival between 5th & 9th June 2005
Barry is currently working on his 5th album.
