Ben Dunderdale

Ben started playing the guitar at the age of 10 but decided to take it up seriously at 15. Since then he has experimented with various styles and played with various bands both on the island and across in England.

The first band he was involved with was Aftermath, a Ramsey based Rock/Metal band. This was Ben's major influence in style on the guitar and favoured music, listening to bands such as Iron Maiden, Pantera, Deftones….

At the age of 17 he started to write songs which lead to the collaboration with other local singer/songwriter Michel Jelski, forming of the band Fait, another Ramsey based group but acoustic and vocal harmony based. This is where Ben first attempted to sing also.

After moving to Liverpool in 2001 to undertake a music diploma Ben continued to write but mainly concentrate on his guitar playing. Still mainly playing Prog Rock and Metal.

In 2002 he joined the band G2, a Liverpool based Indie/Rock band with which he stayed for a year 1/2 before retreating from the band scene for a while to concentrate on production and guitar playing.

2004 saw Ben start his own solo acoustic project, taking influence from Martin Simpson, John Mayer, John Smith and Bob Dylan. Ben also played guitars for Ste Headly, a Liverpool based singer songwriter, for a period.

Currently Ben is finishing his music degree in Liverpool whilst continuing his solo project and also playing guitars/keys for a northern based commercial metal band.
