Bill Dalton & Pete Woodman the "trio" known as Lonesome.
|
|
LONESOME
are a trio consisting of
Bill Dalton
and
Pete Woodman
.
At 73, Bill was introduced to music somewhat late in life. Inspired by the
thought of free whiskey he started playing lapstyle guitar 5 years ago for a
bet.
Although he spends most of his time fighting with his “Dobro”, Bill has
recently discovered the subtle musical delight of the humble ukulele. Repeated
requests to play “Paris Texas” or “Duelling Banjos” have led him to adopt a
quiet lifestyle away from the rat race after a bloody incident a few years ago.
However, we are happy to announce that he will be out in good time to play here
on the Island.
Pete has already revealed his considerable musical ignorance in Manx bands too
numerous to mention. Pete and Bill met some years ago at a ferret-wrangling
convention where they discovered a shared interest in beer, music and beer.
Nowadays, defying pigeon-holing in any particular musical style or key, they
play regularly with the legendary “ShockGrass” band – Richard III and the U
bends.
