Smiling Jack Smith and Felix Slim team up
1st October 2004
Smiling Jack & Felix meet at The Acoustic Stage 2004
|
For some time Smiling Jack Smith and Felix Slim, who met at the 2004 Isle of
Man Blues Festival, have been talking about getting together for a duo set and
it has finally happened.
In an e-mail today Jack says:
"Hi Chris
Well, what a gas! we just finished three days in La Coquette, mythic blues
bar in Madrid, and everybody was knocked out. The mixture of Felix and his
traditional blues style with my modern personal blues worked like a charm
and we had a great time. We have the night off today and tomorrow we have a
concert in my village that I expect to be packed with friends from all over
the area.
We have been talking about plans for the future and both of us would love
to do something next year with you guys.
Stay in touch and be well.
