Steve Turner - one of the founder members of Steamroller and drum collector
|
Isle of Man based blues band "Steamroller" was formed by local harp player
John Robinson and drummer Steve Turner in 2002. Originally the band
concentrated on the Chicago and Texas blues sound covering artists such as
Muddy Waters and the 3 Kings.
John "JR" Robinson - one of the founder members of Steamroller is to leave at
the end of 2004
|
The band has undergone a few personnel
changes in the last couple of years but the current line up is John and
Steve, Dave Quayle (Bass), Steve Gray (Keys), Phil Jennings (Guitar) and
Stephen Hind (Sax).
John Robinson had decided to depart at the end of 2004 but since then he has
had a change of heart and is now back and gigging with the band

with vocal support from Steve Turner. In 2005 the band will concentrate on being a blues band - just the blues.
One thing is for sure.....they will be firing on all cylinders when it comes
to Blues Festival time
