John Hammond in full flow 19th May 2006

Kevin Brown "held the audience..."
Kevin Brown held the audience with his superb slide playing and fine songs and amused them with his stories from around the world.

RB and Hector were even more wonderful than last year, you could feel the tension in the air as RB sang his poetry, whilst Hector's playing was as subtle and flowing as ever. They have now converted
RB Morris & Hector Qirko "convert" the audience...
another section of the Manx population!!

Any thought that it couldn't get batter were dispelled by John Hammond who played straight through for an hour and a quarter and then an encore of two more songs - how one man, a guitar,
John Hamond. "how one man, a guitar, a harmonica and a tapping foot can fill a room like that I don't know". Click to enlarge
a harmonica and a tapping foot can fill a room like that I don't know. He could have kept going for another hour I'm sure and the audience would still have listened to every note and every word. He really showed that he deserves all of the acolades and awards he has gained over 44 years of playing.

The evening started off sunny but by the time everyone was leaving

there was a torrent of rain and it's still falling.... It is due to dry up for the afternoon (20th May 2006 - Fest Saturday). I think we could have a caption competition for the one of John Hammond and his go-go dancer!!
