Collector Drum Kits and Gear - Grab it
15th July 2006
Steve Turner in action at the 2004 Festival
|
Steve Turner, one of the Island's top drummers for the last 15 years, is to
sell off some of his precious gear. Having appeared at most of the Bushy's
Big Wheel Blues Festivals both as player and behind the scenes adviser and
funds raiser as well as appearing with a variety of local and UK bands at
numerous gigs, Steve is well known by players, live music lovers and
festival-goers.
But, as the old saying goes, it's an ill wind that blows nobody any good and so
it is that
you just might be able to pick up a bargain from Steve's extensive drum
collection and even his immaculate PA...
Steve says:
"There are 2 drum sets, both
professional standard
kits and hand/custom made, hence the price, all maple shells and as good as
new condition.....not a mark
on them as I haven't played 'em really.
The details:
1.
DW Collectors Series
Vintage White in marine pearl, signed on the inside of
the shells by Zoro, 22x16;10x8;16x13; 14x6 snare..
£1,500
2.
Orange County
Drums in black wood stain 22x14; 13x9; 14x11; 14x5.5 snare
£1,700
All drums come in a Hardcase drum case (Black and Yellow) and these are
included in the price. Each case again is in first class condition and look
new.
There is also a
DW 5000 double bass drum pedal
with double chain and weights up
for grabs. Again it's cased, just like new and can be used as a single pedal if
required...
£150.
I also have a
DW
top of the range
throne
going for about
£50!
My
StudioMaster Mixer Desk
is also available. It has 600 Watts per side….10 channels, 2 of which are
stereo with 4 X Peavey
speakers: 2 x Hisys "2" tops and 2 "115" Bass bins - 2 X sets of stands; one
set for the tops only and one set if you employ bass bins and tops together.
The desk has a case and the speakers have covers - it is about 5 years old, but
has been only gigged when I’ve gigged which is rarely, so I’d say about 15-20
times. All leads come with it and I have the
instruction manual
etc. Price being asked:
£1,800."
