Steamroller to Quit
17th May 2005

Following what was, by any standards, a first class set on The Main Stage at the 2005 Festival Steamroller have decided to call it a day. Steve Turner, drummer and original member of the band with John "JR" Robinson said today "John had had enough long before the Festival and everyone I spoke to yesterday to a man felt that it was pointless to continue for many reasons. I think they saw the Festival Main Stage as something to aim at and going back to empty pubs was not something they wanted to do. They also want to move on to do other things."

With most of the Steamroller players guesting with other bands over the weekend and Phil Jennings (guitarist) notably being invited up to play with the Daniel Smith Band on Saturday night the Steamroller lads are at the top of their game and no doubt will be seen in new projects very soon.
