Jack Smith

Smiling Jack Smith, a Festival favourite of mine from 2004, has been in touch to tell the Fest about his new CD. Jack says:

"Hi Chris
Long time between e-mails, I've been very busy. Hope all is well with you, and all the folks there.
I am working on the new CD, which will be a real departure for me. First of all, the band is bigger. There will be two guitars, keyboard, upright bass, and a horn section! A friend of mine from Canada, Pat Coleman , a fantastic guitarist and musician in general, is doing the horn arrangements, and I will be going to Canada in December to record with my own drummer and musicians that Pat works with all the time. It will be released through Pat's record company, Roadhouse Records , and distributed in North America by SONY. Everything will be done with complete charts for all the band so I can take it anywhere that I can find players capable of the job. The new band here in Spain has been rehearsing the material so I can tour here and in the rest of Europe with them. Busy, busy, busy.
Best, Jack."

The Festival wishes all it's friends well and never more than when they are playing, recording and living the Blues - Jack does them all.
